… Emma Woodhouse, l’eroina dell’omonimo romanzo scritto da Jane Austen.
… Emma Woodhouse, the main character of Jane Austen’s homonym novel.
(Jane Austen)
Di Emma la Austen dice che si tratta di un personaggio che “che non potrà piacere a nessuno, fuorché a me stessa”.
“I am going to take a heroine whom no-one but myself will much like”, said Jane Austen before she began the novel.
A me Emma piace, è un personaggio che fa risuonare qualcosa in me…ci sono alcuni dei suoi tratti che non faccio fatica a riconoscere come miei…
I like Emma…I think we have something in common…

That’s why, when Elisabetta and Angela asked me to stitch this The Sampler Girl’s pattern together, I said immediately “Yes” !
Un abbraccio.
Hugs.
